"... now, will not God bring about justice for His elect who cry to Him day and night, and will He delay long over them? ...”

Luke 18:1 - 8

Praise God for the progress and diligence as work is being done on the "D" translation of the Book of Luke. This is the final process where workers who have never seen the text read through it together and then answer questions about their understanding what it says.

Luke 1:4

... so that you may know the exact truth about the things you have been taught.

Please pray for peace in this province. Periodically, a spirit of unrest sweeps through the area. Please pray for this to be settled and God's Word can be taught. Usually, the unrest has nothing related to our organizations.

Acts 4:31

And when they had prayed, the place where they had gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness.

About twenty years ago, we asked for prayer for the "E" people. They requested an evangelist and some have come to them. But, for one reason or another, the ones who lived with the "E" people have left. Some of the people have lost heart. Pray this can be rekindled and that God will send someone to teach them Truths about God.

Rom. 10:14 & 15

How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, “HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO BRING GOOD NEWS OF GOOD THINGS!”

A friend in a sister organization recently shared some of their workers have not been able to get into their villages for even five years. Pray their hindrances will be removed.

Heb. 6:3

And this we will do, if God permits.

Sunday night, Feb. 26, it was announced here that a New Testament translation work begun in the early 2000s has now been completed. We praise God for another people group being able to hold and read and study and meditate on God's Word.

Ps. 119:103

How sweet are Your words to my taste!
Yes, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

I, Mary, am volunteering in the Linguistic Library here in Papua a few hours each week. The work is easy, reshelving books and sending out overdue notices. It is very encouraging to see the translation work which has gone on before and is in progress now. Praise God with us for His faithfulness in this land.

Rev. 5:9 - 10

"Worthy are You to take the book and to break its seals; for You were slain, and purchased for God with Your blood men from every tribe and tongue and people and nation.
“You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God; and they will reign upon the earth.”

Once again, I, Mary, am making travel plans to get to America for my annual check-up with my hematologist. Please pray for wisdom in making good decisions in travel. FYI, my appointment is June 5.

Pro. 16:3

Commit your works to the LORD
And your plans will be established.

Earlier in February, Mike gave the message at the Middle School chapel. He reviewed the passage from Joshua 4 where the Israelites were to raise a stone pillar for a memorial. Some students told Mike they appreciated the message. We give thanks for students with teachable hearts.

Joshua 4:7b

So these stones shall become a memorial to the sons of Israel forever.

A key part of Outdoor Education is our students preparing and teaching Bible lessons to village children. Pray, please, for effective communication of God's Word to the children and that our students would see the Holy Spirit working in the kids' hearts.

Ps. 119:34

Give me understanding, that I may observe Your law
And keep it with all my heart.

Praise for the safe travel of the entire high school to an interior village for their two-week Outdoor Education experience.

Psalm 31:3

For You are my rock and my fortress;
For Your name’s sake You will lead me and guide me.

Our earthquake swarm, which started with the New Year, seems to have ended. We had close to 2000 earthquakes during this time period.  We praise God for the small number of injuries and displacements. Pray for the families who have suffered loss.

Nah. 1: 5

Mountains quake because of Him
And the hills dissolve;
Indeed the earth is upheaved by His presence,
The world and all the inhabitants in it.

The high schoolers are preparing to spend almost two weeks at an interior village ministering to people and children. Pray for this endeavor, for safety, spiritual growth, and developing a vision for reaching the lost.

Acts 1:8

but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.

Teachers are needed at Hillcrest for the 2023-24 school year. Please pray for godly people to be called to this life-changing work.

Matt. 9:38

Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.”

The Jesus Film helps increase desire for the entire Word of God. Therefore, the "R" translators are preparing this month to record the audio for the film in March. Please pray that God will be with them as they prepare the script. Pray also that God will bring the vocal artists to the studio to do the recording in March. The plans are being laid now!

Ps. 119:18

Open my eyes, that I may behold
Wonderful things from Your law.

All the names of people have been changed.
