We give praise for the completion of another school year. We won’t see the fruit of our labors for many years, until these students have matured and are on their own. But we can trust God to be faithful to His Word which has been taught.
2Co 1:20 “For as many as are the promises of God, in Him they are yes; therefore also through Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us. “ |
Please pray for a mailing we are sending out seeking additional financial donors. We have been asked to raise an additional $1000 per month. The letters have been mailed and we’ll be doing some follow-up phone calls beginning the first week in June.
Mat. 7:11b “how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him! |
I (Mary) would
like you to continue to pray for my health. This has been an
on-going concern. Three weeks after the first malaria attack, I
came down with it again, only a more severe case. This has set-back
my anemia recovery. I am improved but still unable to take part in
most activities. Mar 5:25 & 26 “A woman … had endured much at the hands of many physicians, and had spent all that she had and was not helped at all, but rather had grown worse. |

Please pray for
the staffing needs of Hillcrest International School to be met.
There are 11 positions that need to be filled by August 2009. Mat 9:38 "Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest |
We are very thankful for some faithful friends. Two friends have been graciously sending Crystal Lite Peach Tea which is a luxury I have gotten to share with other workers here. And we are especially grateful for the friend who sent out CDs of a recent Ligonier Conference on the Holiness of God. Care packages are wonderful “spirit up lifters!” Luk 12:6 & 7 "Are not five sparrows sold for two cents? Yet not one of them is forgotten before God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows.” |
Summer is a
season of travel for the community here. People transition back to
their home countries; others go in and out to their remote villages
and later, there is travel back into this town. Please pray for
traveling mercies for our community and especially for those who
transition international borders.
Rom 8:37 “But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.” |

We are praising
God for the good progress DP enjoyed in the village working on key
terms. Please pray he'll continue to feel positive about his
progress and reach his goals.
Jer 5:24 “They do not say in their heart, ‘Let us now fear the LORD our God, Who gives rain in its season, Both the autumn rain and the spring rain, Who keeps for us The appointed weeks of the harvest’." |
Please continue
to pray for the “E” people. Please also pray for the team being
sent to them. Right now, that team is on Java for the birth of
their fourth child. They’ll return to the area in July and will
then continue with the plans for ministry. Mar 13:27 "And then He will send forth the angels, and will gather together His elect from the four winds, from the farthest end of the earth to the farthest end of heaven.” |
Please pray for
teaching assignments for the next school year. Teachers are often
moved from one class to another due to perceived teaching strengths
and the needs of the school.
Pro 16:9 “The mind of man plans his way, But the LORD directs his steps.” |

There are a
number of us who need prayer as they seek to care for aging
parents. Some of the parents have been hard hit by cancer. There
is one translator in particular who is traveling to the states to
perhaps say “Good-bye” to her mother.
Psa 121:8 “The LORD will guard your going out and your coming in From this time forth and forever.” |
One of our
ministries is a multi-year program which trains nationals to lead
and minister to their groups in a national and international
setting. The application list for this program is quite long.
Please pray as students are accepted or deferred, that God would be
glorified in the process and within the students who are selected to
be part of the program.
2Ti 2:2 “The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” |
Please pray for
our Mother Tongue Translators that they would make commitments to
God for the work of Bible Translation and so the MTTs would be
diligent in fulfilling those commitments.
Tit 1:9 “holding fast the faithful word which is in accordance with the teaching, so that he will be able both to exhort in sound doctrine and to refute those who contradict.” |

Mike needs to
get a tooth crowned. Please pray that he’ll be able to travel to
Jakarta or Singapore to get the necessary work done. Php 4:19 “And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” |
Our oldest
daughter, Beth, has taken a sales job. She is trying to become
established on her own. Please hold this need before God’s throne.
2Co 9:12 “For the ministry of this service is not only fully supplying the needs of the saints, but is also overflowing through many thanksgivings to God.” |
