Praise Our Father for the traveling mercies that Mike experienced on the way home.  His plane was delayed in Tokyo, but it was worked out even before he landed in the US.   

Isa 45:2  "I will go before you and make the rough places smooth; I will shatter the doors of bronze and cut through their iron bars.” 

Pray for the people of Warirroni.  Their village was recently devastated by a 7.0 earthquake.  Although the translators had finished the New Testament and were only in the village to pack their belongings, they stayed for an extra time helping to deal  with  the problems.  They organized the shipping of $5000 worth of tarps and other equipment needed to supply temporary housing to the people.  Pray that the Lord would use this experience for the people to search the new Scriptures  they have received and draw closer to Him.

Isa 2:19  "Men will go into caves of the rocks And into holes of the ground Before the terror of the LORD And the splendor of His majesty, When He arises to make the earth tremble.” 

Pray for these translators as they are finishing their time in Papua  and will be moving “permanently back to the States. 

Isa 55:12  "For you will go out with joy And be led forth with peace; The mountains and the hills will break forth into shouts of joy before you, And all the trees of the field will clap their hands.”

Pray for me (Mary) as I work on designing that Hillcrest International School (HIS)  website.  Ask that it will be an effective  communication tool. 

Isa 24:15  "Therefore glorify the LORD in the east, The name of the LORD, the God of Israel, In the coastlands of the sea.”

Pray for Mike as he shares the vision that we have for  ministry in Papua.  Pray he will communicate the enthusiasm and passion that we have. 

Mat 5:16  "Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.”

Please pray for our son, Josh, as he undergoes Army’s Basic  Airborne School.  He is already in the ground school, July 5 begins the tower work, and the next week he will be jumping out of perfectly good airplanes.  Graduation is set for July 16. 

Eze 38:7  "Be prepared, and prepare yourself, you and all your companies that are assembled about you, and be a guard for them.”

Praise the Lord for colleagues who have recently returned to Papua.  While in the US they attended one of their daughters college graduation. 

Psa 84:7  "They go from strength to strength, Every one of them appears before God in Zion.”

Praise the Lord that while in the states  they were able to complete an audio version of the Gospel of Mark and Genesis in their target language. 

Isa 66:18  "For I know their works and their thoughts; the time is coming to gather all nations and tongues. And they shall come and see My glory.”

These translators arrived and brought an intern with them.  Pray that the intern will be blessed as she seeks to understand the nature of the work in Papua and discern God’s direction for her life.   

Psa 31:3  "For You are my rock and my fortress; For Your name's sake You will lead me and guide me.”

Pray for the HIS administration as they people to teach the various classes this autumn. 

Pro 21:5  "The plans of the diligent lead surely to advantage, But everyone who is hasty comes surely to poverty.”

Praise God that many villagers in a southern region are coming to their translator more often for medical care.  Praise God that the translators were able to arrange medicine for a lady who has all the symptoms of tuberculosis. 

Luk 9:2  "And He sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to perform healing.”

Please pray for a family in language school.  When they come to Papua, they will be ministering through the aviation ministry, flying church planters, translators, evangelists and others to the interior. 

Act 10:46a   "For they were hearing them speaking with tongues and exalting God. ”

It may sound odd that there is frequently a drought in the rain forest, but that is often the case.  Please pray for the church planters, working with the “E” people, that they would receive enough rain to keep their rain barrels filled.

1Ki 8:36  "then hear in heaven and forgive the sin of Your servants and of Your people Israel, indeed, teach them the good way in which they should walk. And send rain on Your land, which You have given Your people for an inheritance. ”

Please pray for Mike and me as we traveled throughout the Southeast.  Furlough is not often a time of rest and relaxation, so much as it is a time of travel.  Please pray for stamina, safety on the road, and health. 

Exo 9:16  "But, indeed, for this reason I have allowed you to remain, in order to show you My power and in order to proclaim My name through all the earth.”
