We still need a car. We've had several offers but all have evaporated right before we've actually received them. We've been "making do" but as our travel schedule becomes heavier, this will be a problem. Rom 15:29 "And I am sure that, when I come unto you, I shall come in the fulness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ." |
We are very thankful for the gift of a new laptop. This is the
main computer that I, Mary, use for communication with supporters,
etc. and work related matters. Please pray for me as I
transfer files and try to configure it for my use. Matthew 6:32 - 33 "For after all these things do the Gentiles seek; for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." |
Please pray for Hillcrest International School as they start the
school year. James 3:1 "Be not many of you
teachers, my brethren, knowing that we shall receive heavier
judgment. " |

Please be in prayer for the organization in Papua. We are
undergoing a transition and things don't flow as well during this
uncertainty. Please pray that we will glorify God during this
time of change and adjustment. Philippians 1:18 "What then? only that in every way, whether in pretence or in truth, Christ is proclaimed; and therein I rejoice, yea, and will rejoice." |
We are praising God for a good, safe trip up to North Alabama in
July. It was a joy to be with one of our longest supporting
churches. Philippians 1:8 "For God is my
witness, how I long after you all in the tender mercies of Christ
Jesus. " |
This week and next I will be trying to contact our partners and
scheduling visits. Please pray for clarity in communications
and flexibility in the schedule. Philippians 2:2 "make full my joy, that ye be of the same mind, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind; " |

Our youngest daughter
has some major and very expensive dental work (and very probably
includes facial surgery). Please pray that all this goes
well and pray that we will be gifted with the money to pay for
this. It can be close to $6000!

Josh leaves for some military
training on August 13. Please pray for his training but
especially for his wife as they will be separated during this time. 1Titus 6:11 "But thou, O man of God, ... and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. " |
Pray for some colleagues who just recently lost their home and
belongings in a fire. They have found temporary housing and
are reorganizing.
Romans 8:37 "Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us." |

All the medical tests concerning my breathing have been negative.
Since I am improving I am discontinuing further testing. Again, the medical bills strain our finances
considerably. Mark 5: 25 - 26 " And a certain woman, ... had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, ...," |
Praise the Lord for the granting of visas to two of our long-term
translators. The government has recently denied visas to many
of our group. We're especially thankful for these visas as the
New Testament they're working on is nearing completion.
Job 12:13 "With Him is wisdom and strength, he hath counsel and understanding. " |
Please pray for the Lord to give me clear
guidance for my job when I return in January.
During the group reorganization my event planning job was
eliminated. Proverbs 16:9 "A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps." |

Please continue to pray for a colleague of ours who suffers constant
digestive disorders. Please pray for patience for her as she
continues to work and minister through this ordeal. Psalm 103:17 "But the lovingkindness of Jehovah is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, And his righteousness unto children's children;" |
I have intentionally left some of the requests in from last month as they are still on-going concerns. Thank you for continuing to hold all of these before the Throne of Grace. |
We just recently counted and there have been 15 New Testaments completed in the 13 years we have been on the field. We have taught the children of 13 of these translators. Praise the Lord! Nehemiah 12: 43 "And they offered great sacrifices that day and rejoiced; for God had made them rejoice with great joy." |
